Roger Few
Roger is a social scientist with 25 years’ experience working on the connections between risk, environment and development in more than 20 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. In his time at University of East Anglia, he has led or co-led 30 collaborative projects funded by a wide range of academic funders and international agencies, including UK Research and Innovation; the International Development Research Centre (IDRC); European Union; Department For International Development, United Kingdome; United States Agency for International Development; Danish International Development Agency, and the United Nations Development Programme. Recent consortium-scale projects have included the IDRC-funded Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Areas project (2014–2018) on vulnerability and response to climatic risks in semi-arid lands, with a regional focus including the rangelands of southern Afar in Ethiopia.
